Last weekend I had the immense pleasure of capturing Elena and Bobby’s Lancaster nuptials. The venue, Villa DeLeon, was a small oasis in the middle of the desert complete with a small pond and bridge and a large grassy reception area. The ceremony was beautiful as they said “I do” in front of 70 of their closest friends and family. Their love for each other could be felt throughout the celebration and I tried to hold back a few tears myself! Some awesome details included a jelly bean and chex-mix bar, a Polaroid guest check-in hung on a clothesline, and orchids galore. Congratulations to Elena and Bobby, it was an honor to be a part of your big day! I hope you had an amazing time in Hawaii!
Photographing Rene and Cliff’s engagement session in Conowingo, Maryland was so much fun! I went to high school with both of them and they are two of the kindest and down-to-earth people I know. Having been together for years and both lovers of country music, Cliff chose to propose to Rene on a special date-night at a Kenny Chesney concert! I am so happy for them and cannot wait to be a part of their 2018 wedding!
It was a humid morning at the Conowingo Dam and Trail for their session and they definitely turned up the heat even more with their genuine love and affection for one another. Cliff knew the area well and took us to some awesome locations, including some old abandoned train tracks and an original stone wall that had been built decades ago. I love their photos so much and I hope you do as well!
Sandy and Justin are just the cutest and I am so fortunate to have photographed their engagement! Having been there when they started dating, moved in together, bought their adorable frenchie Charlie together, and now tying the knot, its been amazing watching their love grow and blossom right in front of my eyes. I am so thrilled to attend their wedding next fall back in Maryland!
They chose the perfect location at the Havre de Grace Promenade on a cool summer night. The sky was all kinds of crazy beautiful colors full of pinks and blues. We walked the board walk of the promenade talking about her upcoming wedding and trying to avoid the Labor Day weekend crowd in order to get the perfect shots. Her ring is simply stunning! Capturing their love story was so much fun for me and I hope you enjoy!
Over the Labor Day weekend I flew to my hometown in Maryland for my twin sisters wedding. While I was there I had the pleasure of taking maternity photos for one of my best friends Tiffany and her studly hubby Bryan. We’ve been friends for years and they’ve been dating since high school, so it is such an honor to be able to document another milestone in their lives! The fact that I’ve been them first become a couple, then witnessed their beautiful wedding, and now photographing their adorable baby bump is extremely exciting and its been amazing watching them grow as a couple and now as a family! I cannot wait until I have to go back to Maryland so I can meet their little girl who they’ve named Wren. The photos were taken on a gorgeous farm owned by a friend in White Hall, Maryland. It was a perfect evening with an even more perfect sunset over the farm! The golden sun over the crops was to die for and the old white barn was a perfect backdrop for their country rustic photos. Enjoy!
Last week I had the chance to capture Jess and Matt and the first thing that comes to my mind when I think of them is unconditional love. Their natural chemistry and connection between each other was absolutely breath taking and just watching them move, kiss, and touch in front of the camera was simply magical. I don’t know about you, but I feel like I can physically feel their love for each other through their photos.
We first started our session at a beautiful fountain in the middle of Palos Verdes Estates. The live band playing at a restaurant across the street got us all pumped up for the session and put all of us at ease. There happened to be a tiny patch of lavender right next to the fountain which was oh-so-beautiful and the aroma was even better! The photos at the Palos Verdes cliffs overlooking the pacific are some of my favorite photos to date, and you’ll be able to see why! The light, the love, the location, and her adorable floral maxi dress from Forever 21 all fit perfectly together to produce some seriously stunning photos. Enjoy!
Last week I had the pleasure of capturing Joy and Mena’s engagement photos at Mesa Verde Country Club. They took part in a traditional Christian Egyptian engagement ceremony and an intimate dinner afterward with their closest family and friends.
Mena had just proposed two days prior where he took Joy for a nice dinner in Orange County, so she was still a little in shock that all of this was happening. She could barely believe her eyes as he previously jokingly proposed with a ring pop, but now it was the real thing!
The ballroom was decorated with a beautiful arch which Joy and her mother had handmade earlier that day. Their heartfelt ceremony entailed prayer and the blessing of their rings, which they will both wear on their right hands until their wedding day. After the ceremony we had just a couple of minutes as the sun went down to capture a few portraits of them. To eat, guests enjoyed salads, baked chicken, a cake cutting, and crepe and fruit bar. Then the party really got started as the dance floor filled up!
Any bride who listens to covers of Disney songs and old-school N’sync and Backstreet Boys is my kind of bride! The love between Joy and Mena was tangible as they celebrated with their family and friends. The night was filled with smiles, laughter, dancing, and a few tears of joy. It was a fabulous evening and I am so honored to have captured it. Congratulations to the newly engaged!
